Due to cold weather, work on the Alvo water tower is suspended until spring. No water use restrictions for now.

Water and Sewer Billing

Water and sewer service from January 1, 2018 through July 31st, 2018 will be billed at the minimum rate. Starting from August 1st, normal water rates will apply. If you have been paying monthly, please bring copies of receipts, bank statements or cancelled checks to the Village Office starting August 17th.


Christina Vidlak is our interim clerk and will be at the office from 8:30 to 12:30 on Saturdays.







NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the Chairperson and Village Board of the Village of Alvo, Nebraska will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 6th, at 135 Main Street, Alvo, NE which meeting is open to the public.  An agenda for said meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of the Village Clerk at City Hall.  Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be enlarged later than twenty-four hours prior to the scheduled commencement of the meeting.

Is N-63 Alvo North Project Progressing?


The construction started at the north edge of Alvo and continued north to Bluff Road, then from Bluff north to Church Road. Access to the Alvo Cemetery will be provided as needed for maintenance and funerals. Casey Wisness, of Knife River Construction is project manager. His phone number is 712-898-1787.

During the construction, a temporary access road will be provided for the Alvo Cemetery.

 The project is anticipated to be completed by November 2018. You think?

The Nebraska Department of Transportation project manager for this project is Jesse De Los Santos of Lincoln.  Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through construction work zones.

This notice is directed toward those who flushed their shop towels, baby wipes and other non-degradable items down their toilets - the Village replaced two pumps at the sewage lagoon to the tune of $10,000 for the pumps and $6,000 for installation.

Nationally, 24 states  - Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin have normal moisture levels. Alaska and Puerto Rico are still dry.
